Glenn Hart

I went to Trent Park Training College, now Middlesex University, and studied education at Junior stage my main subject was art and craft, most of the work I did was pottery.
On moving to Buckinghamshire in 1968 I joined various classes for art and crafts. I started pen and ink drawings, then moved on to watercolours. I joined The New Wycombe Art Group, The Hughenden Art Group and am now a member of West Wycombe Art Group. I have exhibited regularly with these groups in various venues. Libraries, hospitals etc, Bucks Art Week and West Wycombe Annual Exhibition.
I joined Visual Images Group and had an Open Studio, together with my husband,( a photographer). For the last three years I organised and exhibited with West Wycombe Art Group for the Bucks Art Weeks in the St Pauls Serbian Church in West Wycombe.
I have also had solo exhibitions in various venues within the local area.
The subject matter I prefer is landscape, although I enjoy life drawing and painting. I like to work outdoors, or from life as much as possible.
I use mainly watercolour with some mixed media. At present I am experimenting with sharp contrasts of tone, in juxtaposition, and I am working towards greater depth of colour to give more impact in my paintings. I cannot resist really bright and unusual colours, and at times that is my major interest in the painting.
My inspiration is the local country side and the foreign places I have visited.
